Safeway showed off its LEED Silver building at 11555 Dublin Canyon Rd. in Pleasanton, the ex-Farmers Insurance building.
Last night's event was co-presented by the local chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council and International Interior Design Association. Safeway executives talked about the company's sustainable development and corporate responsibility efforts. They also offered tours of the building. About 150 people attended.
